Morning Frost
I am a sucker for winter and was really happy when two weeks ago a winter storm in Yosemite just cleared at the start of the weekend. It was great to arrive in the park when it was freshly covered in snow and you could explore it with only a few people around. This was captured very early in the morning while it was still snowing.
Winter Curves
It was wondeful to witness this morning winter scene in Yosemite National Park.
Bridalveil Fall from Tunnel View
I loved the wonderful mood of this winter scene. Unfortunately, Bridalveil Fall did not carry much water during that time.
The Classic
I was so happpy to arrive at Yosemite National Park just after a snow storm had cleared. Despite the many times I have seen this view in reality or as image, it has always captivated me - a true classic view.
Trees, Snow and Mountains
What a wondeful combination to compose an image of.
Elusive
El Capitan in Yosemite National Park hiding behind clouds after a recent snow storm.
Three Brothers
Winter scene along the Merced River with a frozen sheet of ice with mystical view onto the Three Brothers formation
Goosebumps
I have to hank my friend Michael Hindman for this title. I tried to capture these snow bumps already 2 years ago but didn't have any good light then. This time it was different and Michael and I tried different compositions. I was lucky for a break in the clouds that lit up Lost Arrow Spire nicely with warm sunlight.
Moonlighting
I had an awesome (but cold) time capturing this image of Valley View in Yosemite National Park a few weeks back. It was such a serene scene and at 1am it was only me and the moon out there........oh well, maybe a coyote or two as well.....
Winter Sunset
Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Yosemite National Park. It was the second time I visited the park and it was awesome to see it in Winter with less people around (but more photographers it seemed) under a nice blanket of snow - such a pretty place!
